The Homeschool Mother's Journal - 11

In my life this week...

I probably shouldn't have said it last week - don't remember?  They were the "no sickness" words.  Stephen did have a small stomach bug this week but so far everyone is good.

In our homeschool this week...

We finished up the next to the last week of Classical Conversations.  After much prayer, I have decided to become the new Journeymen tutor next year!!  I am excited, nervous, ready to go, ready for a break, ready to start planning, wanting to take some time off.  Lol, a mix of emotions.

Places we're going and people we're seeing...

We saw our local theater for a production of "The Diary of Anne Frank"! The youth did an awesome job!  We knew two of the girls performing so that made it even more personal and fun for us.  This week's trip will be to Bentonville Battleground!  We are really excited about this one too!

My favorite thing this week was...

Feeling like things are falling into place although I have a million and one decisions left to make.

What's working/not working for us...

We had to give up our subscription to Time4Learning much to my kids disappointment.  It's just not financially smart for us right now.  For any newbies to Time4Learning though, they have an April special for just $4.95/month compared to $19.95/month.

Homeschool questions/thoughts I have...

Are any of you a current tutor for Classical Conversations?  Any tips or advice for me?  I love children!

A photo, video, link, or quote to share...

My oldest, Jonathan, will be the big 13 the end of this month so I'm going to post a few pictures of him each week.  Boy, does the time fly!  Both of these show his personality fully :)

  1. We reviewed Time 4 Leaning & one of my daughters loved it. Your son looks like so much fun. I'm stopping by from The Homeschool Mother's Journal.
