Weekly Wrap-Up Weeks 33 & 34

Weird, Unsocialized Homeschoolers

I can tell summer is on the way!  It's getting harder and harder for ME to stay focused, lol.  The kids are still doing good...it's their teacher that is ready for something different!

I always thought this time of year things start to slow down.  Well, around here we've just started getting busier!!

Week 33

This week started with celebration!  Shawn and I celebrated our 13th anniversary on Monday.  And we also had family dental visits so we celebrated no cavities to boot!

Tuesday, Jonathan turned 12!!  Oh wow, that still hasn't really sunk in for me yet.  He just looked at me today and said, "4 more years mom" and I didn't catch on for a second.  I just gave him my talk to the hand sign, lol!  I can't handle 12 and you want me to go ahead and work on 16!!!

Wednesday, we finished our school work and went out to take some yearbook pictures for our local homeschool group. They were at the park so we played a little while too =)

Friday, Sarah and I headed out to Asheboro for Mother/Daughter camp!  We had a wonderful time!!

Here are our girls pictured with the sweet missionary we met from Slovakia.

week 33 school studies recap........

Math - Jonathan is working with protractors and really loving circumference, angles, and such.  Stephen is moving to higher digit multiplication and division.  Sarah is adding and subtracting higher numbers and working with graphs.

History - we studied Moses, The Ark of the Covenant, Joshua, Jericho, and Rahab.

LA - Sarah suffixes, Stephen verbs, and Jonathan prepositions along with diagramming.

Spelling and Copy Work continue on with out workbooks.

And we finally finished reading "Ms. Piggle Wiggle On The Farm"!  I requested "Hello Ms. Piggle Wiggle" on interlibrary loan so that is on hold right now.  Until we get it we're going to re-read "Charlotte's Web" and "Where The Wild Things Are"

Week 34

We started the week with a trip to Bounce U to celebrate Jonathan's birthday.  Since last week was so crazy we held off until this week to celebrate.

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thrusday were pretty much back to regularly scheduled programming =)

New Bible Verse is James 1:1....going to be working our way through the first verses of James over the next few weeks.

Friday night we ended the week with a celebration of Mudcats baseball!!  And we won 9-7!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Mother's Day!  I am truly blessed to be a mother of three awesome kiddos!!  Busy lives we lead but they are growing in their walk with the Lord every single day and that is what it is all about.

Shawn is training a new driver this week and Jonathan reminded him to be sure to tell his new driver about Jesus.  Wow, absolutely amazing.  Oh, and forgot to add that youth Sunday is next week and Jonathan will be one of the youth giving the sermon =)  Now, that does a mama's heart good.  To God be the glory!!!!

That's a wrap on our week.  For more weekly wrap-ups check out Weird, Unsocialized Homeschoolers.
