Back To Goal Setting

We were on vacation last week so I'm trying once again to get my groove back.  That seems like a recurring theme around here!

Here are the questions I ask myself when planning my week:

Top 5 for the week
  1. celebrate Sarah - she's turning 12 this week!
  2. unpack and catch up on laundry
  3. ease back into to daily chores
  4. go to bed at a decent time
  5. update planner dates, reviews, school plans, etc

Menu Plan
Breakfasts and lunches are pretty much the same so I'm going to stop sharing those unless you want me too!
Dinners:
                Enchiladas, Spanish rice
                Chicken Quesadillas
                BBQ chicken, broccoli, mashed potatoes
                Spaghetti, salads
                Chicken and rice, peas

Reading goals
  • Priscilla Shirer's Discerning the Voice of God
  • Judges study with Hellomornings
  • Own Your Life by Sally Clarkson
Fitness goals
  • decided to just start slow and just start walking
  • I'm starting back with a simple water goal as well - at least 32oz per day (last week I think this lasted 3 days - back at it!)
New Habit for September
  • water, water, water (at least 32 oz per day)

Review of Last Week
This is a new section but I didn't make any goals last week since we were on vacation so it's a easy review this week.  :)

I would love to hear your goals for the week!  I'm linking up with Money Saving Mom and reading the goals of others there as well.

Blogging Through The Alphabet - I is for...

Blogging Through the Alphabet

Blogging Through the Alphabet  with Letter I.  I is for Intentional.  That's what I want my new year to be all about - intentional.  I don't want it to fly by without me knowing or remembering a single thing that happened.  In order to make the year count and meet the goals I have set, I must be intentional!

We like family selfies.  :)  Hubby was working!

Here are some areas I am trying hard every day to be intentional  on...
  • Spending time unplugged - my children are growing up so fast and we are a technology family so it's easy to all be plugged in to our own thing.  I want us to be plugged in to one another more!  We love games so that's a great way to start.  Every Wednesday afternoon is now declared game day! One game resource we really enjoy is cards of any kind.  This is skipbo and a really fun family game.

  • Another area is in exercise.  I'm trying to be intentional to just get moving.  My goal is at least 3 times a week. Right now, that movement is mainly walking or Just Dance with my daughter.  She loves it when I play with her so that's what we've been doing this week mainly!
  • Spending time with God first is another intentional area I'm working on!  The Jesus Calling Devotional makes that super simple to do.  I LOVE it and would recommend it to everyone!

Are there any areas in your life that you are being intentional to get done for 2015?  I'd love to hear about them!
